Sealed Bid Auction FAQs

bidadoo Sealed Bid Auctions allow you to easily source and bid on items from featured consignors in a simple sealed bid auction format. A sealed bid auction works by submitting a bid to the auctioneer for the maximum price you are willing to pay for an auction item. Once bidding closes, all bids for the auction item are tallied and the person with the highest bid will be awarded the item. Bid amounts are only known to the auctioneer and are not known to other bidders.

After bidding opens for a particular sale, you'll see a login link on the auction catalog page. Click the login link and login with the credentials you supplied when creating your account. You can also login here.

You can change your password and profile information such as name, phone number and address at any time by clicking My Profile from the user icon on the top right of the page once you are logged in.

To log out, click the logout link from the user icon on the top right of the page once you are logged in.

All bids are submitted online. To bid online, you must create a free account. Once your account is created, you'll be able to login and submit bids online during the time bidding is open for a particular sale. To place a bid, simply click the Place Bid button for the lot you wish to bid on. In the dialog that appears, enter your maximum bid amount in the text box, then click Place Bid.

You can cancel your bid at any time up to the time bidding ends for a particular sale. You must be logged in to cancel your bid. To cancel your bid, click the Cancel button for the lot you wish to cancel your bid on, then confirm your cancellation request. To change your bid, cancel your bid and place a new bid.

No. Bids are the maximum amount you wish to pay for a particular lot and are not visible to other bidders.

Yes. After bidding closes and all winning bidders have been notified, you can login to your Sealed Bid Auction account to view the bids you placed. You'll be able to see your bid amount, lots you won, and the high (winning) bid amount for each lot.

If the winning bid amount for a particular lot results in a tie between one or more bidders, the bidder who entered the first bid will be awarded the lot.

Winning bidders will be notified via email on the day of the sale. Winning bid amounts will be publicly available in our online catalog no later than the business day following the sale.

Yes, preview of sealed bid sale items is available during the hours bidding is open on the day of the sale. You can preview items at bidadoo's Kent, WA facility at 1001 3rd Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.

We accept Paypal and credit cards (via Paypal) for payment. We do not accept cash or checks in any amount. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover only. Special payment terms will apply to any payment or aggregate payment over $5,000. Full payment must be made within four (4) calendar days of the sale date. Please be sure to reference the lot number with your payment so it can be properly applied.

Yes, all items are available for local pickup. Regular pickup hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time Monday through Friday. No items can be picked up until after the sale ends and all winning bidders are notified. Generally, no items can be picked up the day of the sale. All items must be picked up within four (4) calendar days of the sale date. Although loading assistance is usually available, please bring the appropriate equipment to secure and transport your load. Photo ID is required for pickup.

Yes, bidadoo offers palletized shipping services. All items shipping on a pallet will incur a palletizing charge of $75.00 which includes the pallet, banding, labor involved to palletize and equipment to load onto a truck. If you choose to send in your own LTL common carrier, the palletizing charge will apply. All items must be shipped within four (4) calendar days of the sale date.

bidadoo will collect taxes for items sold from the U.S. and Canada where applicable. U.S. Tax will be applied in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

If your purchase is tax exempt a signed Resale or Manufacturer's Certificate must be provided prior to release.

A $10 handling and administrative fee will be added to each lot purchased.

All lots are sold as-is, where-is. Returns are not accepted. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of sale.
